Origami Stool
The Origami Stool is made from alternating layers of stainless steel mesh and synthetic textile. Constructed from a 100cm x 125cm rectangle, it uses a folding pattern similar to origami.
The manufacturing process involved layering three layers of metal mesh and two layers of textile, which were then cut and folded into the desired shape. The layers of metal mesh and textile were bonded together using a heat gun and blowtorch. To create the discolouration of the metal mesh, the heat gun was not applied to the outside surfaces, allowing the metal mesh to oxidize naturally. Finally, the excess fabric was used to join all loose pieces together, resulting in a compact and beautiful structure.
